Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a statewide campaign to repair damaged rural roads before the onset of winter.
District officials have been asked to complete pothole repairs and submit progress reports every week. Priority will be given to roads connecting villages to hospitals and schools.
The public works department said work has already started in more than 40 districts.
